Our Mission
First and foremost, the primary mission of the club is to
come to the aid of Dobermans in need. Through our Doberman
Rescue program, we focus on dogs within our region, primarily
Southern California, but are more than willing to lend a hand
elsewhere when necessary. Many members own former rescue dogs
and are ready to help when called to action.
Additionally, the club is always ready to engage in educational
activities to promote the Doberman breed, their traits, their
qualities and their contribution to humanity.
We are recognized as a 501(c)3 charity, which means that
all contributions can be tax deductible. To find out more
about why this is important click

Of course our members are dedicated to the breed and are
dog lovers general, and you will find them participating in
a variety of canine activities ranging from conformation,
agility, obedience, service and therapy.
Naturally, we are biased, but we believe that a Doberman
is the best, smartest and most loyal dog there is. Just ask
any owner, they will readily agree. This is what brings people
from all different walks of life together, a common bond,
and that bond is the Doberman. We strive to educate the public
about the breed, are are proud of the significant historical
contributions the dogs have made* and always promote the positive
aspects of the breed.
The club is a chapter member of the Doberman Pinscher Club
of America (DPCA) and a licensed club of the American Kennel
Club (AKC), and subscribes to the universal objective of providing
education, health research, and support of rescue, and the
reduction of canine overpopulation for the benefit of everyone.
Specifically, to educate the public about Dobermans, their
proper care, treatment, breeding, health and to promote responsible
pet ownership above all else.

Dobermans. Click

history.

History
Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club has been an active Doberman club
since it was founded in 1967. We started in San Diego and have
members in San Diego, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties
as well as the southwestern United States. As a chapter
club of the DPCA, we sponsored the 50th Golden Jubilee DPCA
National Specialty and COnvention in 1975, hosted the DPCA
National in 1993 and the 75th Diamond Jubilee in 2000.
The National Animal Interest Alliance (NAIA) presented their
award for "Outstanding Contributions to Pure Bred Dog
Rescue" to our rescue Coordinator, Angie Monteleon and
the Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club of San Diego on January 25,
1997.
We received our non-profit status in 2002 through DPCA and
take an active role in promoting and educating the public
about the importance of animal welfare, cruelty to animals,
and actively participate in the rehabilitation and adoption
of Dobermans who have been subject to unfortunate conditions
and circumstances.
We are a group of dedicated individuals who are Doberman
owners, some have been with the club since its inception.
Some members are passionate about rescue, some are interested
in conformation, while others thrive on agility competition.
The interests are diverse, the common bonds are the dogs.
