Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club of San Diego, Inc., is one of the premier Doberman Pinscher Clubs in the United States. Located in San Diego, the club has members throughout the U.S. One of the primary missions of the Club is the rescue of Dobermans throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties. Being a member is really quick and easy and, if you love Dobermans, you have the right stuff to be one of our members. What you need to do is submit a completed application along with your membership fee to the address below. The application is read at the next two regular club meetings (you name, interests, Dobermans, etc.) by the Club Secretary and the attending Club members vote on admitting you to the Club. After your membership application has passed the two readings, been accepted by the general membership in attendance, you're a member of our club. Membership entitles you to the Club newsletter (mailed to addresses in the U.S. only), special discounts on a variety of items, access to the members only area of this web site, and a whole lot more.
You don't have to be a member to attend meetings but you have to be a member to get the newsletter, attend the Holiday party, be eligible to vote on Club matters and receive Club discounts. Memberships run January to December every year and are not pro-rated. All membership renewals are due and payable by December 31 each year for the coming year and membership lapses if dues are not received by January 31. Renewal dues are $20 per year for individuals and $35 for families.

Library - Aztec DPC maintains a library of breed and training books and video tapes. These are available for free loan to Aztec members.
Newsletter - The Aztec newsletter is one of the ways we keep you informed about upcoming events. It is also a good source for canine care tips, legislative concerns, and virtually anything related to our breed. The Club newsletter is mailed the third week of each month, prior to the General Meeting. All items submitted for inclusion in the newsletter must be submitted to the Editor no later than the second Friday of each month. The newsletter will accept any and all items for publishing in the newsletter, but inclusion will be at the discretion of the newsletter editor. Commercial advertising is not accepted for newsletter publication. Subscriptions for non-members are available for $15.00 per year (12 issues).
Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE) - A well known fact among the national Doberman Pinscher fancy is that Victor Monteleon, Aztec's previous President, was the prime force behind the design and development of what is now called the WAE. The WAE subjects a dog to a wide variety of situations, observes the responses to these situations, and provides a measurement of soundness based upon the breed standard.
Educational Programs
Aztec has timely educational programs on a variety of subjects of interest to Doberman owners, breeders, and fanciers. We have our programs before the general business meetings. Our knowledgeable club members are always happy to share information of interest with others. Social gatherings include an annual Christmas Party, Summer Picnic, annual Specialty Show and Fall Fun Match.
