Annual Specialty Show -
Fun Match
We are considering a date in 2012, don't have anything firm
yet, and would be grateful if someone would come forward to
help coordinate this match. It has been popular in the past,
but we currently do not have a chairperson. If you would like
to continue this event, please help us out.
Generally held in mid-October, in the El Cajon area, the
Dobe Boosters Fun Match, is for all purebred dogs - not limited
to AKC breeds. Classes are 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months
(puppy classes) and novice, open (adult classes). There are
also show and go obedience rings for sub-novice, novice, open
and utility classes. Jr. Showmanship is not offered. We are
having Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluations that day.
Agility
We typically have two or three events throughout the year
that are hosted by Aztec. The agility event is staged and
coordinated by a third party. Aztec provides assistance and
course workers during the event. This is an execellent opportunity
to get first hand introduction toagility, by volunteering
as a course worker.
WAE -Working Aptitude Evaluation
The Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club of San Diego, Inc.,
holds an annual Working Aptitude Evaluation test for club members
wishing to evaluate their Dobermans. WAE tests was held in September
at the Canine Sports Center located at 4821 Dehesa Road, El
Cajon, CA. The Aztec DPC WAE tests are recognized by the Doberman
Pinscher Club of America (DPCA).
The purpose of the Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE) test
is to determine if your Doberman has the aptitude perform
the work intended for the Doberman breed, namely, be a strong
companion and protector. Your desire to test your Doberman
shows your involvement and dedication to your Doberman and
the breed as a whole.
