Plants Safety
This area of the web site is dedicated to plants and your Doberman (or any dog really). Dogs love to explore and the only way for them to thoroughly check something out after smelling is to take a bite or two. Even with their extraordinary sense of smell, they don't always know what's good and what's not. Sometimes what they eat may not agree with them and can experience vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain or even go into toxic shock because what they have nibbled on was poisonous to their systems.
Colorful and fragrant, plants and shrubs are especially tempting and some of our favorite flowers, vegetables, and berries could be even more enticing. Plants that some veterinarians suggest you watch out for and their possible symptoms are listed below.
