Adopted 9/15/05
9/21/05 - Trace update: "Trace is happy and healthy! We’re de-worming again, but his fur is growing in nicely and he has a healthy appetite. Trace is not food aggressive and toy possessive. He needs a lot of discipline (still a lot of puppy in a 2-year old Doberman), but he minds well and has learned to sit patiently when he wants attention, rather than jump all over me and get it! And he’s housebroken! I don’t have a photo of me with him, but the picture attached is Trace on one of his comfy beds, working on a chewy.
"Trace is a wonderful addition to my home. I brought home the ashes of my beloved Doberman, Cruz, the very same day that Trace joined my family. The timing is perfect, and loving Trace is helping me to heal. Thanks for all you do!
"Christine "
Trace's Adoption Story
A woman saw several of our rescues on the web site and was interested to see if one might work in her environment - a home with a cat and a neighbor with two very rambunctious min-pins. Agnie made arrangements for an introduction and took Trace, Ashton and Wiggles to see if one might work out. Wiggles was the first and, although all wiggles for humans, could have cheerfully eaten the min-pins - this would not work. Ashton was next. He was actually a little frighten by the min-pins, this too would not be best. Third up was the charm, Trace. He looked over the cat and ignored the min-pins. He was all happy exploring and checking out the yard, the neighbors yard, the house, he was a happy boy. This had great possibilities. The woman decided she's give Trace a try. A call later that day confirmed it, Trace was prancing from yard to yard (the woman's yard and the min-pins yard are open to each other) with a chew in his mouth, happy as can be. A very sweet boy has a wonderful new family and great prospects for a happy life.
Trace's Story
(7/28/05) A 2 to 3 year old black and tan male with a docked tail. Trace was found in the mountains, obviously abandon. Although very sweet and not terribly underweight he was in very bad shape when rescued by a concerned citizen. He was infested with fleas and had lost most of his coat from severe flea bites. He's good with dogs cats, mice, actually everything. He's had a complete physical and is doing well.
He seems to be recovering very nicely and is a very sweet boy. He would work well in most homes and would love to have a loving family. We should have a video soon.
